Safe Environment Training

Safe Haven- It's Up to You Training and Criminal Background Screening are mandatory for all church personnel and volunteers who have access to children as part of work or ministry. Safe Haven- It's Up to You is designed to help our community create a safe environment by empowering us to recognize and prevent sexual abuse. 

Vulnerable Adults eLearning- Charleston Training and Criminal Background Screening are mandatory for all volunteers who have access to vulnerable adults as part of work or ministry. Vulnerable Adults eLearning-Charleston is designed to help our community create a safe environment by empowering us to recognize and prevent abuse of vulnerable adults. 

How to complete "Safe Haven- It's Up to You" Training

(Mandatory for all volunteers who have access to minors) 

To complete the training, follow these four easy steps...

  1. Go to https://charleston.cmgconnect.org/ to complete your new online safe environment curriculum.
  2. Create an account.
  3. Start and Complete Safe Haven- It's Up to You training curriculum.
  4. When finished, return to the "Dashboard" and download and print your certificate. IMPORTANT: Send the "Safe Haven- It's up to you" certificate to your direct Ministry Supervisor. Your Ministry Supervisor will submit your Safe Environment file to the Parish Safe Environment Coordinator once all required documents have been gathered. 

How to complete "Vulnerable Adults eLearing -Charleston" Training

(Mandatory for all volunteers who have access to vulnerable adults) 

To complete the training, follow these four easy steps...

  1. Go to https://charleston.cmgconnect.org/ to complete your new online safe environment curriculum.
  2. Create an account or login with existing credentials
  3. Start and Vulnerable Adults eLearning- Charleston training curriculum.
  4. When finished, return to the "Dashboard" and download and print your certificate. IMPORTANT: Send the "Vulnerable Adults eLearning- Charleston" certificate to your direct Ministry Supervisor. Your Ministry Supervisor will submit your Safe Environment file to the Parish Safe Environment Coordinator once all required documents have been gathered.
