Baptism for Children

Parents requesting Baptism for their children must be registered at St. Andrew and must attend a meeting with other parents about the sacrament of Baptism. These meetings are held on a monthly basis and are announced ahead of time in the bulletin.

Baptisms are performed after the first and third 11:00 am Sunday Mass. First, call the parish office to register for the Baptism meeting. After completing the Baptism class, call the parish office again to schedule the Baptism. Click here to download a Baptismal Preparation Application

At least one of the godparents must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Godparents from other parishes must provide a sponsor certificate from their home parish. A baptized Christian of another denomination may serve as a Christian witness.

Baptism for Adults

Unbaptized adults prepare for the sacrament of Baptism by participating in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).

RCIA is a process of discernment and education for unbaptized adults who wish to become Catholic. Those baptized in another Christian faith may also participate in this process to come into full communion with the Catholic church.

Unbaptized adults who complete RCIA receive the sacrament of Baptism at the Easter Vigil Mass. Click here to see photos from our Easter Vigil Mass of 2006.
