Good Friday

We celebrated the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion on Good Friday.

The custom of passing the cross from shoulder to shoulder is an ancient custom from Jerusalem that has its origins in the Second Station of the Cross, in which Jesus was made to carry the cross. The act symbolizes that we are helping to bear one another's burdens as we pass the cross.

Following Holy Communion, the congregation was invited to venerate the crucifx with quiet devotion.
